Step into Norway’s past at the open-air museum
Around 160 historical buildings have been moved from regions across Norway and re-erected in the picturesque Open-Air Museum. Amongst these are the stunning Gol Stave Church, which was built in the 1200s and relocated in 1885.
Visit the regional farms, surrounded by fields and pastures, depicting country life and local traditions at various times through history.
You can also wander the cobbled streets of the Old Town, which depict town atmosphere, and see how rich and poor alike lived in Norwegian towns.
