Visiting the Library and Archives

In the Documentation Center you can access the museum’s extensive collections of drawings, books, photographs, albums, interviews, catalogues, questionnaires, and archival materials. You can also search the databases to find information about the museum’s object and photo collections.

Most of our collections are available in the Documentation Center, and a large portion can also be accessed on Digitalt Museum. Materials containing sensitive personal information are restricted, and access is granted to researchers and students with an approved supervisor upon written application to Norsk Folkemuseum. We can assist in locating objects in advance of study visits to the object storage.
