All participants at a photo and film shoot at Norsk Folkemuseum are obliged to the following directives:
The buildings
- Buildings and objects are not to be exposed to anything that may result in damage.
- Buildings and objects are not to be exposed to water or humidity of any kind.
- The interiors of buildings can only be heated according to specific agreement.
- It is not allowed to use nails, pins or anything similar on the buildings or objects.
- Smoking or any use of open fire is prohibited in the buildings and the immediate surroundings.
- Lights and lamps must be used with great care.
- Dogs, prams and trollies are prohibited inside the buildings.
Security
- During interior photo and film shoots, a guard form Norsk Folkemuseum has to be present at all times.
- Photo-/film-shoots with several participants present during the production may require more than one guard. This will be estimated by Norsk Folkemuseum prior to the photo and film shoot.
- Norsk Folkemuseum may also require a guard to be present at larger outdoor photo or film shoots.
- The person signing the contract/agreement on behalf of the company/person doing the photo or film shoot should be the responsible contact person.
Directives for use of Interiors
- Inspection and agreement of prospective moving/removing of objects must be done well in advance of the photo or film shoot.
- Agreed moving/removing of objects and furniture will be done by Norsk Folkemuseum’s curators or/and by the guard.
- Chairs and benches may not be used without a prior agreement.
- Table-surfaces may not be used without a prior agreement.
- Objects may not be touched or used as props.
- All cleaning is to be done by the museum-staff, if nothing else is agreed upon.
- Food and beverages are not allowed.
Practicalities
- Keys to gates and buildings are not distributed, and are to be handled by the museum staff only.
- Parking of cars and placing of equipment is only allowed at specific places, and is very limited.
- Driving at the museum grounds is only allowed by prior agreement.
- Wardrobe and restrooms may be hired from a limited range. Public toilets may be used, but not reserved.
- Eating and drinking is only permitted at designated areas.
