Norsk Folkemuseum's Dance Group

Norsk Folkemuseum's Dance Group consists of approximately 75 dancers aged 6 to 25 years. We perform in beautiful Setesdal costumes and use the Hardanger fiddle as the main instrument for accompaniment. The dance group also offers performances upon request.

Since 1953, the Norsk Folkemuseum's dance group has been spreading the joy of dance both nationally and internationally. With a wide selection of Norwegian folk dances in their repertoire, they have contributed to spreading knowledge and enthusiasm about Norwegian cultural heritage for decades!

The dance group offers performances upon request. We have a wide selection of Norwegian folk dances in our repertoire. The dance group performs in various settings, ranging from weddings to state visits, and we do everything we can to tailor a program that suits your event.
