The Artifact Collection

Norsk Folkemuseums collection of artifacts contains approximately 160.000 objects from urban and rural Norway, dated from the 16th Century to the preesent.

The Artifact Collection - Start

The Artifact Collection contains among other things furniture, farming and craft tools, folk dress, folk art, church art, portraits, toys and musical instruments. The museum also has the largest Samí collection i Norway

The Artifact Collection - Start

Today, the museum mainly collects items from the 20th and 21th Century, mostly furniture, household utensils and domestic technology.
